Harry Hall Trailer Insurance Terms and Conditions

Please note the following applies to policies taken out after 25 May 2022. We recommend consulting documentation provided at the time of your policy for the most accurate benefits and conditions.

Key Benefits

Cover is provided for accidental damage or theft to the horse trailer, up to a maximum of £2,000/£5,000/£8,000 (dependent on claim limit of product) or the current market value, whichever is the lesser amount.
In the event of accidental damage, recovery and delivery costs are included to take the trailer to the nearest repair station or deliver the trailer to your home (geographical limits apply). The cost of recovering any horse(s) being transported in the Horse Trailer to your address is covered up to a maximum of £500.
Costs of hiring an alternative trailer after loss or damage of the trailer rendering it unusable, for a maximum of 3 weeks and £100 per week.

Conditions & Exclusions

An excess applies to each and every claim of £100 for accidental loss or damage increasing to £150 in respect of Malicious Damage or Theft to/of the trailer or £300 in respect of Malicious Damage or Theft to/of the trailer whilst not at the insured's home.
When not in use the trailer must be kept in a locked building or secured with a wheel clamp or hitchlock.
If, at the time of damage, the Horse Trailer sum insured is 85% or less of its market value then we will only pay out in proportion of the valid claim to that percentage. However, if you bought the Horse Trailer as new within 12 months of the start date of this policy and it is lost or it would not be economical to repair it; we will pay the purchase price or we may replace it as new at our discretion. (Applies to policies commencing after 1st June 2023)

You have 14 days from receiving the policy to write confirming that you do not wish to continue, any premium which has already been paid will be returned in full. After this 14 days you can cancel the policy at any time and a prorata refund will be issued minus a £15 admin charge or the balance of the policy is due, whichever is the lesser amount.

Amendments to policies and copies of insurance certificates are chargeable with a small admin fee of £10 per policy/certificate. This includes changing trailer chassis number.
