Insurance Premiums include IPT
Applicable to all horse trailer policies:
- In the event of accidental damage, recovery and delivery costs are included to take the trailer to the nearest repair station or deliver the trailer to your home. The cost of recovering any horse(s) being transported in the Horse Trailer to your address is covered up to a maximum of £500 (geographical limits apply).
- The costs of hiring an alternative trailer in the case of loss or damage to your trailer rendering it unusable, are included for a maximum 3-week period at £100 per week.

Do I need to be a Harry Hall One Club member to purchase horse trailer insurance?

Is there an excess under the policy?
An excess of £100 applies to each claim for accidental loss or damage. This excess increases to £150 in respect of Malicious Damage or Theft of trailer and £300 if the trailer is stolen while not at the insured's home.
Can I let a friend borrow my trailer?
Yes, the policy will still cover the trailer. However, the towing vehicle would need to be insured to tow the trailer.
Does the policy cover the theft of the trailer?
Yes, however, the trailer must be stored in a locked building or secured with a wheel clamp or hitch lock when not in use.
What is the maximum value of trailer which can be insured?
Cover is provided for accidental damage or theft to the horse trailer, up to a maximum of £2,000, £5,000 or £8,000, depending on the option chosen, or current market value.
Following a claim, the insurers will pay the sum insured or the market value, whichever is the lesser amount.
Do I need to tell you if I change/sell my trailer?
Yes, we ask that you contact our customer services team on 01274 711 011. Amendments to policies and copies of insurance certificates are chargeable with a small admin fee of £10 per policy/certificate.
How much does it cost to insure a horse trailer?
From only £102 per year you could cover a horse trailer with Harry Hall worth up to £2,000. Prices do vary depending on the value of horse trailer and additional extras, which is why at Harry Hall we make sure all of our prices are available online without the need for long and boring quotes.
An excess of £100 applies to each claim for accidental loss or damage. This increases to £150 in respect of malicious damage or theft of/to the trailer and a £300 excess applies in respect of malicious damage or theft of/to the trailer while not at the insured's home.
When not in use the trailer must be kept in a locked building or secured with a wheel clamp or hitch lock.
Cancellation terms: you have 14 days from receiving the policy to write confirming that you do not wish to continue. Any premium which has already been paid will be returned in full less the administration fee of £25, providing you have not made any claims under the policy. There is no right to cancel following the cooling-off period, however, you are required to notify us if you no longer own the trailer, but no return premium will be issued.
